There are 33 titans. Owning a titan gives you the ability to burn a Guardian and only 10 of each guardian can be burned. By burning a guardian you receive a random amount (33 - 333) of ASH (a future in-game currency) and a fragment of "The Echo of the Ancients" a timeless artifact with tremendous power, which was shattered into 13 pieces, and each Guardian possesses a piece.
The burning will happen via my Discord, so it's mandatory that you join if you are planning to burn Guardians!
Heres a breakdown of the perks you get based on the amount of fragments that you hold:
Since there are only 100 possible fragments to exist, there is a very limited amount of portals and artifacts. You will keep the fragments throughout the perks.
Meaning - You don't lose the fragments as you claim the perks. Once you get to 13, you use all the fragments to restore "The Echo of the Ancients" artifact, and the fragments are destroyed in the process.
